PlayStation Store Cards: How to Pick the Right Store Region

PlayStation Store Cards: How to Pick the Right Store Region

Bought a PlayStation card and got the message "This code cannot be redeemed in your country"? It is the most common support issue we see, and the cause is always the same: the code belongs to a different store region than your account. This guide explains how to check your region and pick the right card the first time.

Why PlayStation cards are region-specific

Sony splits PlayStation Store into regions, each with its own wallet and pricing currency. A wallet code issued for one store only redeems on accounts registered in that same region. A US-store code will not work on a Saudi account, and a Saudi-store code will not work on a US account, even when both codes are genuine.

Your account region is set when the account is created and cannot be changed later. That is why many players in Saudi Arabia keep two accounts: a Saudi one for the local store and a US one for early releases and US-only deals.

How to check your account region

The quickest way: open PlayStation Store on your console and look at the currency on game prices. You can also sign in at PlayStation.com and check the country listed under Account, then Profile.

The seven stores we stock

At AUJ we carry PlayStation Store cards for seven regions: Saudi Arabia, the United States, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Lebanon. All cards are USD-denominated, from $10 up to $250, because Sony prices these regional wallets in dollars. Our prices are in Saudi riyals and include VAT.

The rule is simple: buy the card matching your account region, not the cheapest or most familiar one.

What wallet credit buys

Once redeemed, the amount lands in your account wallet and works on anything in the store: full games, add-ons and expansions, in-game currency like VC and FC Points, and every tier of PlayStation Plus. Wallet credit does not expire.

How to redeem your code

On PS5 or PS4: open PlayStation Store, select the options icon at the top of the screen, choose Redeem Code, enter the 12-digit code, and confirm.

On the PS App: open the menu, choose Redeem Code, enter the code, and confirm. The balance appears in your wallet immediately.

We are not affiliated with Sony; all our codes are official Sony-issued codes sourced through authorized distributors, delivered on your order page the moment payment completes.

Common mistakes to avoid

The biggest one is buying a US card for a Saudi account. The code is valid but will simply be rejected, and Sony does not transfer balances between regions. Second, mixing up similar characters like zero and the letter O when typing the code. Third, redeeming from a browser signed into a different account than your main one.

FAQ

Do cards expire? Unredeemed codes stay valid for a long time, and redeemed balance does not expire.

Can I stack multiple cards? Yes, redeem as many codes as you like; the balance accumulates.

When do I get my code? It appears on your order page the moment payment completes.
